Provisionals should be optional

As in at the beginning of the season a one time question pops up asking if you want to re-attempt provisionals. I dont get to play ranked very much as i work 50+ hours to supply for my son and gf, and when i do play its usually with a couple friends.

In season 3 i climbed from bronze 5 to silver 3 when they implemented the new season 4 provisionals. I went 2-8 and got dropped to bronze 3. Last year i climbed to silver 1 and now just went 4-6 and im back down to bronze 3. Obviously i can climb again but its getting old. Especially since i dont have the time to play 5 games a night and climb/fall to my actual skill level like most players do.

A season lasts for a whole year, even if you averaged one game a day that's still hundreds of games

Who the hell would actually opt for provisionals??? Besides if your elo is bronze-silver carrying is easy. I'm literally undefeated in the jungle right now, 7-2 overall, 6-0 as the jungler and 1-0 as support. 0-2 top lane :/

You can choose whether or not you want to participate in provisionals, it's called not doing ranked. No Riot is not going to hold your spot in ranked for you just so you can keep the rank you THINK you deserve. Each season new players join and the scene gets more competitive. As such ranked gets reset and you have to climb your way back to the top. Theres really nothing wrong with that. If it's too much of a hassle then just stick to normals. Why do you feel entitled to a specific elo anyway?
