Another Nasus Hate board

Losing to him isn't why I'm writing this. He actually carried me.

  • I'm jungle nocturne and our Nasus got destroyed top by Darius. I managed to get a couple kills ganking mid. feeding myself and our mid Corki. Our bot lane did amazing on its own. At about 18 minutes despite nasus being down 30 gold and 2 kills, the game looks like its in the bag for us. So we thought. Darius started coming to teamfights and pushing other lanes. we continued to fight 4v5 for a good 20 minutes while our Nasus did nasus things. (stacked q top lane split pushed) he even died to them about 5 more times. Until finally about 40 minutes into game a baron fight broke out that nasus decided to join (probably just because he was close by pushing top) by now he had 500+ stacks (only) and he got a triple kill. After that the game was in the bag they tried to team fight a couple more times but nasus was one shotting squishies. We won....yay....

Nasus is stupid. His kit is stupid. 0 interaction. 0 play making potential. Hes literally not even fun to have on your team.

Obviously I know Nasus can be countered. Also I know he can be beaten. That's not the problem I have with him. The problem is his goal is basically to do as little as possible for his team. sit in lane and farm q.

TLDR: rework Nasus into an actual champ that complements playmaking, counter play, and team interaction in some way.

ftfy: rework Nasus into a champion that makes big plays instead of playing the farm game so that my sugar-addled brain can find him entertaining

Your post is more of a rant about splitting lanes.

Split pushing can make a game, I wish more people focused on that then getting into team fights. I like my odds splitting lanes rather than putting my whole team on the line with the flip of a coin chance we could be aced. I think people that want to team fight all of the time need to learn tactic and not go balls to the wall.

I had a game where i was Tryndamere recently, I honestly sucked that game 1/11 at the end. The other team didn't bother to stop my split push because all they could think of was team fight, team fight, we can win a 5v4 (like most people). They thought they would win a team fight mid, so they stayed there figuring out how to initiate. Meanwhile I get to their bot tower right in front of the inhibitor. I told my team to keep them mid so they initiated. We lost two people in that fight, they lost three because of their panic when they saw me taking bot. I won the tower, inhibitor and one of their nexus towers in the trade, then backed because the two who survived on their team came back to base to stop me. We were behind in a game we would have lost team fighting, after that we took Barron and won. The final score was them being about fifteen kills more than us, yet because league players are predictable we won. Winning a game like that is more fun then team fighting and losing.

If it isn't broken don't fix it and Nasus is not broken. Different people have different play styles with fighters, which make them fun. Nasus is not unlike the rest, it depends on the player playing him. A champion should not be reworked just because you dislike how someone is playing them. I am the type that team fights with the mutt to end the game quickly, different strokes for different folks. When I get to 300 stack on him I push lanes as fast as I can and don't worry about stacking anymore. I see no fault in his kit, just the people playing him, so there is no need for a rework.

rework a champion because of one guy that can't play it properly. makes perfect sense

Or how about you just sit like the good shadow you are and follow the nasus instead. Protect your doge, guide him, pamper him, worship 'him'. He will reward you with victory.

His kit is in no way meant to keep him out of fights. but like most immobile fighters he thrives in splitting. But theoretically no one should split unless they have TP available to join the fight on the other side of the map. I average around 400-500 stacks per Game as a Nasus main. I actually build Nasus to team fight. IBG, SV, MERC, Thornmail are staples. I know I will be focused and I know I need to slow and peel. But if I see lanes pushing and no one moving to the farm then I go and stack and push at the same time. I do not mindlessly try and Q every creep as that is not feasible, especially during mid game where objectives are king. But farm is important. I've see fed carries lose to a lane they stomped b/c all they do is fight and they allowed their enemy adc to farm back into relevance.

The point is Nasus doesn't need changes as he is one of the only balanced champions in the game. He has clearly defined points of power and weakness, god forbid even 50% of the roster were this way... Also why does every champion have to be ham, balls to the walls, trading every chance they can? Why can't some, Like Nasus, be that slow inevitable Hurricane of destruction? Why is it a problem that he thrives through being passive? That is part of his diversity from most champs in the game.

Honestly I am sorry you had a sub par Nasus on your team. B/c a good split Nasus will rarely die that much but asking for nerfs just b/c you've seen some bad Nasus players is hardly evidence and pure anecdotal opinion. Nasus has a clear identity, clear point or power and weakness and is desperately not in need of any other changes.

I forgot to mention, you are complaining about a game you won. A win is a win, just appreciate that you won. Not every game is going to go your way or to you liking, be grateful you won. You seem to be ungrateful because you didn't get your way and Nasus didn't stop farming, yet he helped when it counted. You only seem dissatisfied because he wouldn't team fight, that's selfish.
