Placements, MMR, and Carrying

Last season I was Gold 2 on EUNE, mainly playing toplane and support. This year, I got a perfect 10 wins in my placements, and carried pretty hard in most of them, going 11/0 on caitlyn, 7/3 Garen, 9/0 Garen, etc., I got placed Gold 2. I don't want to complain, it is not a bad placement, continuing my climb from last year, but shouldn't a 10/10 rank me a bit higher up? I was hoping to maybe get plat 5 or 4. It is annoying that Rito won't let us know what our MMR is, so we don't know what to even expect. In my last game both teams had Plats, so I was hoping to rank a bit higher. I checked my approximate MMR through OP.GG, and it says I have Plat 5 MMR.

It approximates my MMR by 200 higher than my current league. And yes, I know, Everyone starts lower than their rank last season. But 10/10 wins :|

I went 9-1 was diamond last season peaked d 3

got placed plat v skipped plat 4 and 2 and now im plat 1

i think ur placement is actually generous since it put u where u were pretty much at the end of season

Thing is, the fact you skipped shows that riot knows that you do not belong in Plat V, cant they just cut the middleman and put you in ~D5? If I manage to win 10-0 against plat 5 MMR i think I should be getting plat 5, but that's my opinion. I wouldn't care all that much, but I don't really have time to grind games and get into plat quickly, so it will probably be another month.

BTW is it even possible to get a higher placement than last year? (not talking about bronze)

Idk i rather it not be so forgiving to get placed high because say for ex i was gold last season and i didnt belong in gold cuz dynamic was fcken broken af then i get gold again and ruin others games rather not have tht on my team

this season still feels boosted af but last season was way way way way way way boosted af

so i dont agree with the being placed high if you belong in a higher elo u will climb quite easily rather simple everything below diamond is kinda bad and easy to win games aslong as u arent 1 of the 9 other bonobos Kappa
