5 Riven mains in top 100 Challenger. FIVE. This champion is so busted that you can lane and solokill anyone of your counterpicks if you're good enough(save Kennen, but fuck Kennen). She has no real counterplay unlike stuff like Jax and Irelia who while strong atm have counterplay. The reason she is never talked is because most Riven mains are in High elo abusing that champ and boards is mostly low elo. Alot of you think Akali, Irelia, Jax and stuff are overpowered but none of them stand a chance against a good riven. Are there 5 Jax mains in Challenger rn. No, there is only 1 Jax main in Challenger rn and that's TF Blade, the best solo queue player in the world, and rank one Challenger.

Riven has no real counterplay and should be rightfully gutted. No real counterpicks, all you have to do is not be an ape, learn her animation cancels, and high elo you go. Gut this champion.

Actually she's fine atm. As Riven you have to play super aggressive. Riven is seen as a bruiser but has very low base health because its not recommended you take Resolve with her. Simply put, against riven you have to grow some balls. Be the aggressor, be the bully, Riven will suffer if she can't get minions and bully her laner, she has a lot of mobility so dont hope to kill her, most rivens take ignite so if you bully them enough they will have to take longer to get back to lane. Simply put riven is like a middle school bully, asks tough,big etc, but as soon as you stand up to them they cry like babies.

This is kinda a fair point. And of course anyone can disagree but uh...what other champion has 4 gap closers, 2 forms of cc on a non support, a shield, 2 different damage buffs, AOE damage, and a large cone execute. worst part of it all: she has no resource. I feel like just giving her some kind of resource would suffice at least just because she has no excuse not to have one.

Now while I don't think Riven is overpowered, she is a bit under looked at for what she can do by herself. Much like Vayne she can sorta just play the game and start dumpstering over half the roster since she is a bruiser that hasn't been gutted.

And I'm not going to bother with the discussion of if she is difficult or not, since it triggers everyone. However, is it really good game design to have a character that gets "balanced" for having a few champions be able to beat them? Like...yeah 4 people can beat this 1 person...but what if you dont play those 4? GG? good design doesn't equal being balanced off of OTHER characters.

She just has a high skill ceiling, and a ton of outplay potential. It makes sense that high elo players would find great success with her. Her counterpicks exist and are easy to play, i.e Garen Darius Poppy

SunDragonz : Riven has no counter plays despite the fact that I'm bronze, but I just got a destroyed by a Riven in bronze and other people online are talking about her being over powered so she surely is broken right? Even though I have no idea what I am talking but who cares. I lost to her a few times in bronze so I thought hmm I'm so good at this game but I lost to a RIVEN?? No way she is definitely over powered legit zero counter play. I can't beat her as a bronze player? BEST COMPLAINT EVER like the summary was a 10/10 great. Like this (bronze) player decides to talk about riven being broken but go look at renekton or vayne two "perfectly" balanced champs.

I just lost a game in plat 'riven smurf' 5 man us including a feed blue kayn and still, no counterplay she just e w q and press r and everyone is dead and still, riot no real nerf to this champ just look at adriens unraked to challenger so disgusting champ...

Bro... my brother the only reason they dont nerf her (she just got nerf in patch 9.16 but it was only a cd + on 2 sec on her q that does NOTHING if you are a good riven player and knows how to reset the footing skill) is beacuse they can legit milk out money rfom her. Have you seen her skins? She is legit a porno all over and riot knows that and keeps on going cuz weebs (am a weeb myself but still) will buy all of them if they play riven and all riven mains are even more wet for the skins. Ofc riot wont nerf her to harch cuz if they do they lose money they dont give a fck about the people that getting f up by riven mains in silver or any elo they just want that hard BIG FOOTING $$$$ (l hate riven and think her (for real tho) her burst need to be slow down ny a lot her mobility is fine but her burst most go) To be able to run around like footing sonic and can also one shot any one any time is insane....
