@Riot, is creep block working as intended?

Recently, I've been seeing complaints on reddit and in-game about creep block, such as this and this. I've had my own recent experiences, the worst being stuck on the Rift Scuttler (and only the Scuttler).

I know unit collision is part of the game, but is it working as intended? If so, shouldn't champions automatically path around these obstacles, like terrain, instead of getting stuck?

Ive been playing since season 1 and it wasnt a problem then. But as the seasons went by it got worse and worse.

Some champs even have a passive to avoid it.

alistar-when passive is in effect fizz-passive garen-during his e. he always had it but now hes slowed going through minions janna- when zepyr isnt on cd jayce-when he swaps forms hec-passive kenen-e always had noc- q udyr-bear stance active kass-passive zed-during ult

Then there's pd that mostly adcs build because ranged characters always get stuck on minions and they need it most.

urgot is ugly and taric is a gaudy, pink loser with a shield and a stun, and because of those reasons 99% of the player base doesn't feel like playing them but their kit being shit doesn't help

your issue resides with pathing

which is fucking terrible and needs to be worked on but cant because #lcsbigplays and #weneedtoreworkcassiopieaandnoturgotortaric

I've been waiting for someone to talk about this for the longest time, almost every game i get in i've had experiences where the minions literally form a wall in front of me and almost get me killed by preventing me from running, and there have also been a few times where the unit collision is so bad to the point i literally can't move

Yeah creep block used to be a lot less dodgy, I can't remember which patch but around the release of an anti-creep-block champion (I think it was fizz, maybe), creep block suddenly got way, way, WAY worse in that patch. Everyone complained and Riot replied that it was a bug... but it never got fixed and in fact got a little bit worse (and has since stayed largely the same).

*remembers the days when you could actually walk through a creep wave if there was a gap to do so*

I have been having terrible luck with stuff like this. Minions stopping me form getting out of tower range, even the J4 flag gets annoying. When you think you escaped but then you get stuck between your flag and a wall.

Like getting stuck on inhib Turret :(

I've noticed "friendly" creep block seems worse after the new summoner's rift release. It can make it really frustrating to lane a melee character especially: trying to get that swing in to last hit .... but no, a line of friendly melee minions makes it impossible to get there in time.

Agreed. Minions are already a bit too unpredictable... so are Black Ops Zombies... U have to hate it when they group block you...
