Wit's End Changes

Was. Kog'maw and Varus haven't been strong for a while here. Wit's End was sort of a niche item, I believe the idea behind the changes was to make it better for a wider variety of champions.

More like a Melee only item now,

Well according to the patch notes it's a attack speed bruiser item(for some unknown reason) that is supposed to replace when you have meaning basically idk wtf riot was thinking when they made this change other then how to we indirectly nerf and indirectly buff and since those are basically the only champions who wants to build it.

So the item will be built more but not because it is better but because riot made it better 2 popular champions and fucked over the rest that were building it.

realistically any melee champ that needs autos for whatever reason would want it th its not just those 2 with olaf and his passive it is insane i am planning on trying it on chogath in a buiild now as well to make his e more effectvie and better trades as well as more sustain in the lane and or mid fights if needed.

Yeah, like those two needed buffs. They are already super strong.
