riven advice needed

hi everybody i'm asking for advice in how to start playing riven, i'm fascinated by that champion mechanical complexity

i see there a dozillion of combo guides, animation cancelling guides and so on, but that's really a lot of information to digest for a riven newbie

so i'm asking what are good starting points? what combo/cancels should i practice first? i've been experimenting with the fast combo, but it's hard as hell and quite demoralizing honestly..

any combos/cancels/general tips for young riven wannabe to start off?

Practice tool is a life saver. and BoxBox has a few tutorials that are very helpful with explaining some of the little tips that i use all the time in any game i play with her. same with viper. and my boy Adrian. All of them. watch some of their streams, try to make some plays, risky early all ins, try different weird things. shes super versatile, and she is a champion i am so damn glad i've put as much time into as i have.

Speaking as a hardstuck Plat Riven main the first thing i learned was the fast combo, Riven is balanced arround that combo and its rly crucial in 1v1s (AutoQ-Mc-AutoQ-Mc-AutoQ-Mc) then u need to learn the DoubleCast combo (press e wait .25 secs then wq in the same time and u are going to remove the W lock place, or instead of waiting .25 u can just auto inbetween just look for a tutorial on https://www.reddit.com/r/Rivenmains/ it should help u) with ur E u can doublecast everything just try things out and yeah quick reminder dont look at long combos that are used for certaines occasions like for Ex: Shy Combo, NidJr Combo, Sexy Combo, Werhli etc. The only thing u need is to learn as a begginer is one engage combo for exaple ER-F-3Q-W and yeah just look at ur cds and make a decission, anyways i hope u are going to enjoy playing this champ as much as i do and i apologise for my bad eng, hope u could understand, cheers
