Addiction isn't liking something. it's an entirely different response in the brain.
And we play 8 hours a day because that's the only choice if you ever want to gain ranks. It's not like these are 5 minute games or anything.
I don't get it either. People who claim to hate the game and are bored of it play it way more than me and I love the game. I couldnt understand investing that much time in something I hate.

I did so recently HYPERS But its not really the state of the game that makes it bad for me, its the fact that every game is a coinflip (obviously in a team game that you play solo) so I either stomp or lose and get frustrated because I did well.
Probably because a lot of people invested far too much money and time into League to just drop the game.
Then again, that is next level masochism lol
