How successful has the most recent Ryze update been?
As the title asks. Also, secondly, what keystone should I use with him?

Most people take stormraider's surge.
Not very? I think? I'm not sure it's very successful because he requires intense coordination to pull off his ult right and he's pretty garbage tier for the average player.
Take stormraiders or TLD. Stormraiders is best because he has plenty of burst damage but low mobility.

srs is the best keystone on him
I think it's fairly successful in making him have more depth, instead of just qeqwqeq... every time. Enemies can now actually avoid his damage by dodging q's and staying away from flux. Stormraider's is priceless.
On the topic of why you got down voted, I have no idea. A lot of the topics discussing Ryze, even if in a neutral tone asking about him, get downvoted.
