Common champion class misconceptions made by the League community...

So I decided to make this thread because I noticed that some streamers and other people in League in general (not going to name who specifically) say some things about tanks in this case that aren't true. So here goes...

People assume that tanks are suppose to deal 0 damage and be able to do what the name itself suggests, tank damage. People of league must realise that not every tank is supposed to be the same, not every tank is strong in the same way. Some tanks can tank damage better Maokai Malphite Sejuani Nautilus than others, other tanks Ornn Sion Rammus Zac can deal more damage than others but lack in being able to tank as much damage as others mentioned above. Believe it or not but Riot does try to make every champion in league diverse in some way.

.

People that play assassin's assume that just because they are playing an assassin Zed Khazix that they should be able to delete any squishies no matter what, to the point that makes it soundd as if that there shouldn't be any other alternative. Which I can understand in some ways but some champions are designed to have such thing prevent from happening Sivir Xayah Kindred and this is where the word strategy comes in. Where assassin's would have to as others say "bait" them to using that one thing that prevents assassin's from killing them.

.

People seem to dislike the role of Support in general. They complained that they have too many "shields/heals" but when that got nerfed people started complaining about the damage that supports do. This itself brings back to the point I mentioned earlier about not all champions having to deal 0 damage, every champion in League does and has to deal some form of damage. While it might be true that some support champions deal more damage than expected Brand Zyra they weren't originally designed to be placed in that role, but it was actually by us, players who decided to play those champions in those roles that made it work and what make it so strong and viable.

But you forgot the biggest class misconception:

Marksmen are "broken", 1v9 carries. Yet they need someone to baby them through the laning phase, peel, engage, disengage, a meat shield.......

I decided to not dive into the marksman class because it's just all kinds of complicated, even for me.

Everything gets generalized. Folk talking about Balance = every elo. Even thou there's no reason to assume Viability in Bronze, Gold, Or Diamond should be/are the same. Elo shaming happens because higher players cant put them into the shoes of others and thus cant see their frustrations. Discussions on whats good go right to Pro play, even though a coordinated 5 man Ryze R gank with all the teams CC stacked rather then wasted at once, is unlikely in say silver. Pro play, high elo streams congrats its the new mobafire. X did y and that worked well so I can do it also! this 98% rated guide says X did Y and that worked well so I can do it also! Your builds not meta, watch the pros you scrub! Your builds not meta, read a guide you scrub!

I always found the Idea of Tanks dealing 0 Dmg but is almost unkillable funny.

Yes this is a Perfect Tank. For an RPG, a System with aggro attached to it, so also only against NPCs, like WoW Dungeons.

Every Game, no matter what it is that doesnt have an Aggro System needs Tanks to have other Ways to be a Threat. in LoL its CC, Utility and yes, also Dmg.

The Main Source of Tank Complains come from them dealing too much dmg whilst still being tanky tho, thats not a misconception on Tank Concept if seen this way
