A few seasons ago I was in silver, I had an enemy troll that ran it down mid. I pinged my team mates to back the fuck off but they kept trying to kill the troll, who was worth like 30G. Meanwhile, enemy team was beating away at out bot and top turrets and eventually made it to our inhibitor.

Because the game isn't about your KDA... it's about the enemy nexus.
You aren't winning because you are 12/2, you win because you get 12 kills of resources as gold and then use it to destroy the enemy nexus.
The goal isn't killing the enemy team, it just happens to be the best way to achieve the goal of destroying the enemy base. That's why split pushing has ever existed as a strategy. Literally the point is ignoring most of the enemy team to push hard into their base.
I mean, you just immediately disproved the common theory “1 person can’t carry but 1 bad player loses you the game” so thanks, I guess

you OBVIOUSLY missed patch 8.10 when they changed shutdown gold. i commented on this somewhere else on the boards, but if you're feeding the enemy team kills, but not killing anyone then you're not worth anything and therefore when they get shut down by your team that huge gold bounty gets returned to a single champ.

im going to go out on a limb and say that the reason why you lose matches is because you dont know how to carry games. whatever champion and items you buy are a waste of gold for the team and therefore a waste of you getting kills. and then you die and give all of that bounty gold to the enemy team.
since your team is likely gold starved and youre the only one with any income, but cant carry when you die your team gets steamrollered.
either that or you're extremely toxic and rude to your allies when you do well. i mean you intentionally feed apparently.
And people wonder why Silver appears to have such shitty matchmaking. Here's the reason right here, folks. Matchmaking ain't ever gonna be accurate when so many players vary game-to-game, from playing like a Bronze ape to Gold tryhard. On purpose or not, inconsistent performance is a staple of Silver. There is no solution except to be consistent yourself, and eventually claw your way out.
