Duo queuing in ranked suck

Because we can't pick Support/Bot and Bot/Support. The game forces us to choose a minimum of 3 roles in a duo queue. Obviously, the game also doesn't give a damn that my friend first choice is bot, it will always give him the second choice and send him in a different lane while I'm stuck supporting a random.

With the old system you still didn't get your choice every time. You could easily get neither roles.

You can guarantee that at least one of you gets your preferred role this way, though. One queues Bot/Supp and the other queues Bot/Fill (for example) and it guarantees one of you will get bot or supp and you just trade it to the right person.

And tell me. What stopped Riot from letting us queue for only one role and deal with the wait time?
