I hate my ADC10 votesEven if it's for the support role? I thought the game checked which role and lane you were and awarded a grade based on your role. I mean... I got a lot of S grades on my Sona and Karma because I got a toolkit to get kills, but with Janna? The toolkit is one of the most selfless in the game beside Soraka.
DeathBurst10 votesActually Riot refused to reveal the exact criterion used in the grading system, but I'm pretty sure kills are given too heavy a weight, even for supports. My roommate plays a lot of Zyra support, and KS a lot, and received a lot of S grades that I didn't think were really deserved.
Also, if I remember correctly, the grading system is supposed to compare you with other people, it's not an absolute grade base on raw numbers. Possibly, the exact same game played a couple of months apart could get you different grades, because the average level of the community has increased in-between. And I think it compares you with other people who play both the same lane AND same champ, so if you play some off-meta pick well, it can be real easy to get S grades, too.

Thing is, the highest people can achieve on their rank is Plat 1, meaning everyone that were diamond 5 and higher are all cramped to plat 1 and below and subsequently shifting everyone below down a full tier. However, once people start playing more and more, it will climb back to normal

I'm not even sure why grades exist. They're supposed to help you want to improve, but then you get games like this where 'My KDA was amazing, why is my score so bad!' and leaves you baffled.

The relevent bit: "This is percentile-driven; earning a high score means you performed in the top x% of players in that champion/position combination."
So if you didnt get an S+, that means the algorithm riot uses tells them that your janna play just isnt S+ material. So maybe, just maybe, shielding your ADC in a stomp to go deathless but with a bunch of assists isnt good enough. Maybe wards placed? Wards cleared? Damage? (remember, its compared to other Janna Supports around your rank, so youre not competing against carries).

For Carthage2 votesRatings are based off of time. So for 33 minutes, you had below the average amount for Janna in several areas which can include damage dealt, damage taken, gold earned, creep score, kills, damage healed, etc.
Deaths and assists are only two of the many slots looked at, and honestly for Janna that's not that special. She has the highest average KDA of champs for a reason - she is incredibly safe.

Also, whats the point of Janna AAing a tower or inhib when her AAs do no damage. She's better off making sure enemies don't get to the carry thats takin down the tower.
