Yasuo Tornado doesn't trigger Grasp of Undying anymore? Bug or no?

Just thought I'd ask because last game I was in it wasn't working with it. From what I remember, last time I tried it before the 7.2 patch it worked just fine. If it did get taken out i kinda understand but still. Cuz then how come Gangplank would still be able to use it? His q acts a basic also...? Not like it matters toooo much, but it is kinda game changer for kids like me who like yas tank. I'll just use courage of colossus, but still. Because if the tornado can still crit, that'd almost imply that is still a basic technically right? Also, I noticed my grasp didn't work with Tytanic hydras active. Not sure if that's intentional, but it'd be pretty cool if it did work with it cuz then I could basic att, q, basic, hydra active, basic, and q again lol. Ez kite.
