Rolling Champion Shards

So, I know Riot has since dissolved the ability to roll 3 champion shards into a random (was it guaranteed to be one you didn't own already?) champion permanent, I think that since this is gone and I find it highly unlikely they'll bring it back, that we could have the ability to roll 3 identical champion shards into a random-guaranteed-you-don't-own champion permanent, I'm saying this since I have since received 3+ Nasus shards (when I already own Nasus, but I have since gotten rid of them because I didn't know about the mastery 5-6 and 6-7 and so on (yes I didn't know, ha, ha.)) along with other champs and have 2 Xayah ones currently. Anyone else think about this?
