Katarina Nerfs - 2 long years.

Honestly, I've been sick of this for the longest time now, not only me, but I see a lot of negative posts on the KatarinaMains subreddit.. And so I decided to ask Riot for something. I gave up on a Katarina revert, because I like the rework, although now I don't since she's become so weak, she hasn't been buffed for the past 2 years, we somehow adapted to the E nerf, that made her early game much harder, but then came dagger nerfs, rune nerfs on PBE today and the things that made all of us love Katarina are now gone, she isn't that fast 100 to 0 champion anymore, so I'm begging Riot for a buff on E, or just something to not make her as bad as she is now.

I dont even know why people on the katmains reddit are so sad and think she badly needs huge buffs. Her soloq performance is good, her pick rate isnt very low, she has mains in Challenger, etc. LUL

I agree. The cast time on e really feels clunky when you are trying to dodge abilities.

What she needs is some buffs aimed at making her smoother. Remove E cast time and reduce W dagger drop time each level down to 1 second at level 5 and she'd be ok in my book.

You guys dont get it. Her playrate are mostly one tricks. She gets outclassed by every assasin (in a 1vs1). She feels unsatisfying to play. She feels clunky, idc about damage she deals tons of damage. They just need to remove her cast time and make her e cd start at 12 sec instead of 14

Honestly, I don't care for any buff other than removing the extremely miniscule Shunpo delay or adjusting how it works. It wouldn't affect much apart from the interaction that has become more and more broken between it and Gunblade as time goes on, as you can't cast them together like you used to be able to. That shitty interaction has lost me so many teamfights and games that it's not even funny.

Normally, your bread and butter combo would be E+Gunblade+AA+W+Q+R, but roughly 60% of the time, Gunblade won't go off if you use it during that ~.025 second (.075? can't remember) delay, which greatly reduces your initial burst and your ability to hit an enemy with the second dagger (and sometimes both). It feels awful that Gunblade doesn't go off because of that tiny little delay, and I would even be willing to knock off a tiny bit of damage off of an ability if needed to fix this bug (if these rune change go through though, this probably won't need to be done). It's a royal pain in the ass.

People should realize the electrocute nerf isn’t real effecting. It allows you to trade more then go for all ins. On the other hand why does kat need a revert? I mean if riots going to revert every assassin from the assasin update, then they might as well revert things like Azir and give dmg to things like Viktor .

For if Assassins are to be controlled in the midlane. Then mages (NOT BURST MAGES) must be fit enough to destroy them before they gain their powerspikes.

I honestly doubt my katarina will feel a change after the 8.16,but im afraid that cc tanks will be more popular thus being able to lock her down easily.

And the minion aggro change for her q made it way harder to have lane control, you are basically forced to punish only their mistakes and only in the most situational way, like if they are at your tower or you have more minions. Other mid laners can punish mistakes so much easier it makes me cringe how hard laning phase can be for her. But in a way I kind of like it because it forces me to think more and in that way I become a better player.

I dont even want buffs on her I just want QoL improvements such as her e cd being so high that when you land on a dagger im waiting too long for it to actually reset. Or her w and q daggers taking way too long to drop where every other assassin got a partial revert or a full one to get rid of that dumb ass delay crap. If they fixed those things I would enjoy playing her again but now Ive been playing Lb more cause Ive given up hope on Kat being looked at
