can we stop this whole support midlaner broken madness?

is anyone else sick of sona or karma playing midlane and all the midlane characters being absolutely outclassed and destroyed? i just had a draft game with karma vs ekko and from lv 1 all the way to game completion karma was able to q more than half my health and quickly remove the rest in 1 or 2 hits before i could even respond, this does not seem fair in the slightest bit as far as scaling goes and i think riot needs to figure out how to curb the dmg of these characters without hurting them in the support role. Currently the dmg of these supports is impossibly high and something needs to be done
