Plz Answer - Who Do You Think is the Strongest Global Champ

Power Cosmic··1 votes·1,993 views

Global champs have abilities that make it so they can cover large portions of the map very quickly. The most notable being Twisted Fate. So who do you guys think is the strongest global champ? I doubt it, but hope a lot of you answer. It will show Riot how much we understand the game, and therefore the amount they should listen to us.

tl;dr - Who is the strongest global champ? Not who is your favorite, but who do you think is the best. A simple champ avatar will do for an answer.

The problem is a lot of them do different things globally. Some initiate, some save, some just deal damage.

First I'd like to break them up into groups and determine why each is the best of their group.

Ranged Missile A champion that sends out an ability at a long range for global/semi-global impact.

Ashe Deals damage can initiate and can set up a kill from across the map. 3 second stun is insane. While not the best ability in all the categories, it's in all the categories.

Lux Semi global, but deals the most damage and can hit all in it's path. Most full global ults lose a lot of effectiveness due to difficulty of hitting post a certain range. Lux ult is never effected by this and is the most reliable of all these abilities.

Ornn Orrns is the best initiation tool and is just better than Namis. Faster, hits twice, can be redirected. Ezreal Easiest to hit goes through all units, only does damage.

Nami The second most powerful initiation tool of the group. Very slow, and easy to miss.

Jinx Deals good aoe damage, but since it's and execute and can't go through units makes it just worse than EZs in most cases. Rarely the reason Jinx earns the kill.

Maokai Super slow can easily be tanked.

Long Distance Dash Champion must move across the map not teleport.

Nocturne While at first a targeted dash may not seem great, Noc has 2 globals, the blind can cause disarray, disengage fights and save allies. Nocs blind is incredible powerful as it impacts the player not the champions, which is usually better.

Kled Not targeted, but moves fast and is unstoppable. GREAT for taking fights or rotating as you can move your team very quickly. Hard not to give ti to Kled.

Galio Can save an ally and has a huge knock up zone, problem is it requires an enemy to be in danger or to dive wildly first.

Kaisa needs set up to do it, and probably shouldn't be doing it, but still that shield cannot be ignored. certainly better than the ones below despite being the shortest range in this group. Taliyah Better than Asols in all ways and adds a wall. Sion Very slow hard to land must be clear of all obstacles your better off with Kleds. AurelionSol Very weak compared to the rest of these. Slow and does nothing. However being able to go over terrain and having it as a basic ability gives it a lot more power.

**Global Impact ** Champions that can impact almost anywhere without moving. That cannot be body blocked.

Karthus Karthus A tough call between Raka and Karthus, at the end of the day though. Karthus demands you to build items or he get's pentas. Sorakas can have little impact at times as the one she saves can still die if they are just caught out. Soraka Soraka and Karth just outclass everyone else in this category. Global 5 man effects are just some much better than a skill shot you must land.

Ziggs An instant GP ult. Gangplank Can certainly stop a fight or secure a kill with Xerath Very precise can be very good, but we all see how hard this ability is to land.

Teleports

Shen Shens needed to be nerfed many times due to the power of this ability. It saves/assist initiations/ has global pressure and usually better than TP (a summoner).

TwistedFate Free range to go anywhere and reveal all 5 champions is uber strong. Better than Ryze, but just moves TF and that's it. Shen has more power since he shields and can join the front line.

Ryze Just a better Tahm ult.

TahmKench being able to do what TF does ,but with an ally makes it better, but not seeing what around can make it a death trap.

With that who do I think is the best of the 4?

4th Ashe: Ashe is the most versatile, but not the strongest. 3rd Karthus Karthus has too many counters.

2nd Nocturne Nocturne has the blind, but the effects of the ult can be very lackluster and usually end in your demise.

1st Shen So Shen would be the best global ult as it's safe, strong, very good impact, and versatile.

Thanks for the great reply. Pick one champ that him/herself has an ability to cover great distances quickly. Thanks of reminding us there are many types of global abilities. I am most concerned with global movement like Tahm and Shen.

Well, Shen won so it's still Shen lol.

Talon is the strongest global champ in soloq by a long way. But no one considers him global even though he, by far, has the best map coverage in the game.

AIQ1 votes

Well, his ability is not a "global" or even semi global. By that logic all champions are taken into consideration, and junglers would certainly dominate this area.

Blue Kayn would most likely take the crown of "best global presence" champion. Especially with the new E buffs as he does the same thing as Talon, but has no restrictions on walls and can turn around in them.

Power Cosmic1 votes

Sure you are right technically. But in practice, he has the best global effect in the game. His E really has no cooldown figuring the amount of routes that can be taken. And to be honest it isnt even close, bc he has a ton of kill power to go with it. Talon is faster than Kayn, can lane very well, and can one shot in a couple ways. Kayn can hardly lane and needs to combo as well doesnt have the speed of Talon. But figuring how important laning is too, he easily trumps Kayn. And Talon isnt even really global like Shen or TF, but really is more global than either.

Talon trumps Kayn and Rhaast, but not Blue Kayn. Blue Kayn can go from top to bottom in seconds on one E and then 4 seconds later go back up the map.

The biggest thing is that Talon does have a cool down that is much longer than B Kayn since he can only use a wall once.

Possibly taking this too far, but TFs/Shens global presence comes from 2 things using the ability and not using it. Talon does not have the luxury of impacting top lane while standing in lane. People are only scared of talon when he leaves. TF and Shen demand that you do not dive if they have ult, as you will quickly have another person there.

Right on, but being good in lane too matters a ton. Kill power a lot more valuable on its own then utility too.

orrn's range isnt even half global its only from fountain to inhibitor maybe the dirt if you stand at the edge. If been a supporter or Orrn's ult being global since he came out if you dont head but it let it globally go where its going if you do head butt it let it globally go across the map its already slower than Ezreal's ult or Jinx's and those dont even have visual or audio que's

Although not super strong atm, I think Shen has the best global ult, because it’s a massive shield and goes very well with his split push style.

Oh and TahmKench

Who do you think is the strongest champ right now with a global ability like Shen?

If you’re looking for a soloq champ with a global pantheon can be great to get lanes ahead

Mundo, his name literally means Earth in Spanish.

honestly i think Karthus cause his ult can do crazy damage to everyone, and can finish off a whole team if played correctly, as well as finish off low health high priotiy targets. The only drawback is that it has a long af cooldown(but runes can alter that slightly) and it requires you to build at least one or two decent items before it can actually do a high amount of damage

Good answer, and I somewhat agree. But unlike Talon, Karthus can't snowball a game. Also Karthus is far more killable than Talon.
