Shojin's Spear: Please at least fix the broken interaction with Death's Dance

For those of you who don't know, there is a new item on the PBE called Shojin's Spear that make you reduce all damage by a flat amount based on your AD (15+10%AD as Flat damage reduction, 30% effective on DoT, can get 3 time as strong if you are near 3 ennemies)

The item in itself is strong, and can make you really tanky even if you build full glass cannon. Especially for diver like Xin by example, it is really easy to proc the bonus of being near 3 enemy, then you ult for extra safety from the ADC and you can virtually tank the whole teamfight without loosing that much hp.

But let's try not to extrapolate. The PBE is really snowbally since the matchmaking is not skill based and items that help snowballing tend to look stronger than they will be on live. But it still look really strong.

What need to be fixed, howerver, is the interaction with Death's Dance. You all know that DD make you take 30% reduced damage, only to take it as a Dot after. You know where i'm going with this. Yes, Shojin's Spear is reducing the DoT damage of Death's Dance. So, with enough AD, you can totally remove the DoT damage of DD, making the items giving you 30% damage reduction for free, in addition of the flat damage reduction of Shojin's Spear, making you hella tanky in a full glass cannon build.

This interaction cannot exist and make the two items togheter insanely broken, do not allow it to hit live Riot.

It doesn't reduce the DoT from Death's Dance. Why would you post this topic without testing?

Death's Dance deals true damage to the user, so it can't be reduced.

and how exactly does that change it from how item 3812 works now?

i mean it ALREADY gives 30% burst damage reduction effectively making any champ who buys it impossible to burst down unless u can do 143% fatal damage in one combo.

it even worse for champ that combo's are dealt on "% missing hp" as the last hit of the combo because not only did they take less damage from the % max hp skill.. it deals less to begin with because they haven't yet taken 30% of the damage they would have taken from the earlier skills.

this is how deaths dance is now.. its an anti burst item that synergizes with itself because one auto from any champ building it will heal that 30% of the damage they would have taken.

and now they don't take the 30% damage at all? how does that matter to anyone who just blew everything to try to kill him? how is that different than before? they never did in the first place because of the heal.. item 3812

i mean sure you dont need to "heal that damage off now"

but that doesn't matter.. the assains just blew thier entire kit... they cant kill you now and they are just a sitting duck for your to murder in return.

i fail to see how this could make item 3812 even more broken than it already is
