Amidst all these Tristana and Caitlyn hate threads.
Varus.
A balanced champion overall, you aren't going to lose just because you picked him, nor win. He has a balanced winrate and doesn't feel too overbearing to play against, nor does he feel OP when you're playing him.
He just feels... solid, like he could be played in any comp and it would turn out okay.
I always felt Varus was fine except during the lethality era.
I always thought of him as the Xerath of ADC's
on a side note, mid lane has a lot of balanced picks atm and it doesn't get enough credit

I've always thought that Varus was one of the most balanced marksmen that Riot ever released. He's a good example of how you make a unique champion without relying on gimmicks or overloaded abilities to sell a champion.
I just hate 
. What you're getting away? it's ok I'll just hop auto and ult you if i have to. What you're engaging me. Ult, knock you away and e if I have to. What you lived with 50 hp? it's ok I used e just before I ulted.
Now is perfectly fine and I wish people would play more than just the same damn 6 ADCs which are arguably 
with the occasional 
and rarely anyone outside of these 6 champions.
