Why is turret plating a thing?

Turret plating is IMO the WORST thing that S9 has added: It's literally the safest gold income in the game. EVEN SAFER than farming. It gives the players ahead 3 kills worth of gold and zero bounty for it. Late game champs aren't a thing anymore because assassins and such get to be 3/0 by default.

Please... Remove the gold rewards from plates or make them give bounty... Or at least make T1s WAY more tanky so that taking plates isnt as easy as 4 man ganking a lane.

I'm dead serious when I say that I preferred the old unplated towers. I'd rather lose my tower at min 6 losing 600 gold than at min 9 losing 1200 gold.
