Mastery should affect MMR.
I have 300+ mastery. It's not a product of just playing games.
I don't want to be grouped with someone who has under 25 mastery in my series.

Let's assume you're really good at whatever champion. That won't mean that the other guy you're matched with that has similar Mastery points didn't get his simply by sheer volume of games played. This couldn't take into account smurfs either.
How is matchmaking going to place you according to a single champion's Mastery anyway? You'd have to select your champion before queueing up; basically, the old Team Builder, which had shit queue times. Attach Mastery levels in there and it'd be so bad you'd have several hour long waits just because you had 300k mastery.
It also doesn't mean someone with lower Mastery isn't better than you. I have 300k in Nami, but I can tell you there are certainly Nami's out there will less who are better. Mastery is not meant to be an indication of your skill as much as it is of your dedication to that champion. Affecting matchmaking with that is a bit silly to say the least.
I'm not sure you thought about this for more than 2 seconds.

Rude. Very rude. You have some mediocre points at best. The only one I find reasonable at all is that Mastery should be examined and reworked because it doesn't suggest "mastery of the champion". However when you have 300+ mastery points it's another story. It means I've played enough champions to know what they do and what they're capable of doing.
This is beyond stupid. I'm sorry. Mastery means absolutely nothing other than that you play too many champions to climb properly. Source? https://gyazo.com/c19548431ba3e997349d22c508ecd892 35 mastery - d5 - 63% winrate.

Rude. Completely rude. A diamond would have a LOT of experience knowing what other champions are capable of doing. In bronze it would matter. In higher ranks it would matter less, but not be unimportant. And secondly, how does having a large champion pool DECREASE my odds of going up? What a joke.
Champion pool? Please, you cannot consider champions you've played in less than 10% of your games as part of your "champion pool". Being able to play a champion, and being able to pick a champion are two entirely different things. One tricking a champion is not what I am suggesting but it is better than playing every champion 5-20 times like gboosted99 does. BUT when he plays irelia, a champion he actually has a reasonable amount of experience on, he climbs most of the time. Constraining yourself to 3-4 champions within a single role, is the best way to climb. Mastery is meaningless. It holds no merit in the game. Knowing what champions do is not correlated to having mastery points on those champions.

Slippery slope logic. yawn You assume too much about me.
He is probably a smurf therefore all of his mastery is on his other accounts
That is just.... I don't know what to say Ever heared of one tricks? Also one big argument (in The comments) is that someone have a good knowledge of all Champions if he have a lot of champion mastery points. Ok that is maby right, but than You get better in The Game so your mmr is getting higher as well. Your mmr is just to show how good You Are, that also means how much knowledge You have so also kinda your champion mastery points So basically it is already what You Want just that You can't see it. Also You Can get knowledge of Champions over so much more than playing them, YouTube, guides, playong against them. And DON'T answer me with rude. I would destroy You if i wouldn't ne so lazy and writing on my Smartphone
