Can we get some type of AFK prevention?

I'm sick of games going well and then losing them because some dipshit trips over their Ethernet cable and disconnects from the game. Maybe if somebody AFK's, nobody gets any LP, or you at least lose less. It's really not fun to have to win 2 games in a row if you want to promote, because of something you literally couldn't do anything about.

(i know that prevention isnt the right word but i forgot the word)

I agree with you...something would be nice, but nothing will be done. You'll hear comments in here like:

  1. "No, because people will just abuse it. They will bring in a friend on a crap account and if the game looks like a loss, your friend will just unplug his internet and walk away."

  2. "No, because that's the gamble you take. In theory, you either have bad luck, good luck or just even-steven. So by nature of luck, while you'll have games with DC's, by laws of nature, you probably will get games where the OTHER team also has a DC'er."

I wish there was something...but even at this point I don't know what logically they could add.

The only SOMEWHAT viable idea I had was that the game goes on a "pause" and it queue's someone in with a level and gold amount that is the average of your team. So lets say you had a DC'er and the average gold total from the 4 remaining was 4k gold (some might have 3k, some might have 5k)....a new person is queue'd in with an average level of the team and gold and can join up.

But even then the logistics of implementing that are astronomical.
