this is just a general, honest question: does anyone really use the alcoves? imo, it just seems like a place to get caught out or die, and generally, i havent seen anyone use them in top nor bot, we just stick to the lane pretty much. what about everyone else?
Considering the lanes have been largely the same for some years, I would give people a bit to adjust to using alcoves. It adds a lot more flexibility in the bot lane, I've used them to make quite a few plays. Can't complain, seems to only add to the experience
I think the alcoves are meant for stalling, not actually escaping or sneaking... You basically play peekaboo with someone in them, because theyre small enough that you cant escape but vision is constantly lost.
When a lane is frozen middle it allows one side to sneak just outside of vision into the alcove and move behind the enemy laner, if done right it is great for a gank opportunity. Also with the new bushes and how far it extends it become very easy to force your opponent to use wards, over extend or pull back because they don't know where you are.
