Games are lasting for very long periods of time

I am experiencing very long games this season in comparison to last season. I have had games in the past four days which have lasted over an hour, not including champion selection. I don't remember playing so many hour long games in the past. I don't like playing League for that long in one game because there are too many people will full item builds... It just makes the game boring and drawn out when it lasts that long.
