Did the Mundo and Tahm nerfs actually do anything?
I still see them getting banned, but is that just out of force of habit? Are they still strong and worthy of a ban?

Thing is Riot for some reason is not nerfing what makes Mundo a problem. His damage
No one cares for his ultimate, that is his identity, what is not ok, is that he is a mega tank that does more damage then the adc, that goes super fast to the point running from him is no longer a option even if he misses cleavers.
Riot a champion needs a pro and con, at the moment besides strong kite comps, their is no way to stop mundo or trundle once they are ahead.
But they nerfed his damage in this patch. 20 less damage on his E is pretty noticable earlygame and makes his laning phase rather weak.
And no, he doesn't ever do more damage than the adc. He just hits squishy targets while the adc hits tanks.

Oh wow, a normal draft game, that is very relevant! Total damage to champions doesn't mean you do more damage than the adc. Your ADC still deals like 4 times your damage, the difference is that you can position a lot more aggressively and deal damage for a much longer period of time.
You have a cinderhulk, thornmail and a w. Every time an enemy hits you with an AA after you got a thornmail you were dealing damage to them (and you had the thornmail for over 10 minutes, it was your first completed item after cinderhulk) . Every time you had your W on in a teamfight you were doing damage to everyone around you. Every time you were near enemies in a fight your cinderhulk was dealing damage to everyone around you.
You have to be very careful when doing comparisons between champions about damage dealt to champions. ADC's typically are only doing significant damage to one target at a time. It is very easy for other champions, especially those with AOE damage, to surpass the total damage output of a ADC. Note how high the 2/6/5 enemy Heim's damage was relative to his KDA. He was only 1-2k off your 8/7/7 Annie and 10/3/9 Riven.
It is highly dependent on the champion (and your's) play style and the type of game (e.g. lots of team fights or split push strategy). Here is a game where as I did the most damage to champions in the game as support Zil: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2083431101/39646972?tab=stats
Is that because Zil is OP, or is it because I was focusing all my attention on bombing the enemy and not farming? Based on total damage dealt (2nd lowest in game, in front of their support), it is obviously the latter. Does that mean I carried the game or was an unstoppable beast? Nope.
The nerfs help to an extent, but they completely missed what needed to actually be nerfed so people still fear them.
For Tahm Kench, the main problem is the damage on his devourer which is utterly ridiculous for building nothing but defense.
For Mundo, what they should have hit was his initial E damage to champions. That initial damage is fine against monsters and minions as it allowed him to jungle. However because of how they nerfed him, they may have ended up making him more tolerable while just fucking up his jungling.
Nerfs only affect us, the common player, really good players survive the nerfs.
The problem with Tahm is that they nerfed him incorrectly. Yeah, nerfs are nerfs and people have been calling to reduce the time his marks stay on you, but the real problem most people have with him is the damage on Devour.
Yes, it's not the easiest thing to pull off, but it also isn't 32% max HP hard either. He still is too tanky with too much damage. I know people complain about his E as well, and yeah it's annoying, but that's not the main thing that makes him broken (this coming from someone who plays Tahm quite a bit).
They could very easily lower the base damage on W and increase the AP ratio so that if he goes AP he still does comparable damage but if he goes tanky it isn't as devastating. That would put him in a more balanced state in my opinion.
Im sure at least one of the last 4 nerfs did enough lel
mundo is okay in top still not sure about jungle didnt look like too much. Tahm still broken as shit toplane jungle support. Kits too good ratios still too good.
dont trust bans. they could nerf the shit out of them and people will be banning them for month to come.
