So I got out of a game and saw the post about them. I thought "sweet, finally achievements in league!" but then I saw that its gonna be behind a paywall and was immediately disappointed. Why would you dangle something so awesome only to put it behind a paywall? that seems like kind of a low blow

I think I drew the line at event passes. Previously, spending some pocket change on skins was totally fine, and I'd do it whenever I could spare some money. Chromas were nice too, I'd buy maybe one or two for a really nice skin. Ward skins? Sure, if something really caught my eye. Buying a pass on every other event seemed at least reasonable to me and my wallet, but having to purchase achievements? That's some EA level shit there, Riot.

This isn't "rewarding players based on their success", this is rewarding players based on how much cash they splash out. But yeah, no more RP purchases from me.

Because theyre totally optional, just like paying for this game in the first place.

It's good for riot to monetize something besides skins for once, but I'm not sure how they STILL haven't released custom announcers.

Next thing you know. Match history and personal stats will be behind a paywall.

I do not like the direction they are taking. They are simply becoming way too greedy. First the event passes, now this? It's just ridiculous. Where are the real events? Where are the rotating game modes? They pretty much completely ignore everything the players want but keep finding ways to make even more money, to the point it has become sad. The game no longer matters, the money does.

Same can kinda be said about Legendary skins.
