Soraka's sustain is pretty ridiculous

I main support and I've been playing around with Soraka and as well with my experience playing against her I think her healing is a little too strong. It says something when my healing actually exceeds the damage dealt by carries after a game, when I only have support items.

I also felt it's pretty wrong that even though initiate supports and all ins actually aren't even that strong against me when I play Soraka, which should be the counter, just because I can cast e and cock block them as well as actually out sustain the damage they do because I can just w - r my adc to almost 50% more hp near instantly in a fight.

I stand to be corrected and welcome the flood of downvotes from Soraka mains, but this is just how I feel. I will actually pick Soraka into Leona or thresh without caring even though they should be the natural counter to sustain.

soraka is an auto win in lane, but she suffers from some real issues out of lane. if enemy team is even remotely competent you will be the focus and you will go down super fast before you can offer any healing. (and you have to be close to the action to heal, so when you first come in for a heal they can turn on you) come mid to late game any CC on you is instant death because you generally do not build tanky on soraka. and even if you do, she is still going to explode.

in lane she is pretty oppressive if she is good as she doesn't have to get close to you. i usually start flask/4 pots and just laugh as my adc "loses" every trade and is full health 10 seconds after while I am also full health. couple this with health regen quints/yellows and you just stay back out of harms way while your adc does all the work.

she is countered by the hard cc though. if you hook her as thresh she is going to explode. if annie gets you locked up with good follow up you are pretty much dead.

she also is terrible against ganks as all she can offer is a silence field and a slow if she lands the Q. she is supreme at what she does but has some major drawbacks.

she doesnt FEEL balanced ,but really is. the reason she feels overpowered is because people do not punish you past lane phase and junglers dont take advantage of the fact that you are soraka.

As a Soraka main, I....kind of agree. The only opposing supports I feel are threatening are Braum and Blitzcrank (Maybe Annie in there too, she's a threat post-6.) Thresh and Leona have to commit too much, I can just equinox under my adc fast enough to stop the rest of their kit.

-10 healing on our W +10 banana damage at level 1. (ShutUpIKnowISuckAtBalanceChanges.) :P

Her healing is stronk because she can't really do anything else useful :P

the only way to beat a soraka botlane is to miraculously dodge her q's and (safely) engage her at lvl 2 and hope she didnt take equinox she cant heal herself and then healing her adc becomes a problem.

as long as she doesnt land 1 q
