I'm going with no. She has enough free movement as to be essentially immune to melee champs and a significant number of the short to mid range AP mids if they cant blow her up in 1 combo.

This guy has never played or seen a kalista played lol. yi, riven, fiora, ww, darius, panth, yasuo, xin, akali, irelia, udyr just to name a few can easily gap close kalista. some of them MIGHT fall off once kalista has tier 2 boots and 2 AA/s which is either super fed mid game or 45min of decent farm.

In solo Q without a Duo partner ALL supports go full retard and just panic click. Which negates 40% of kalistas dmg. it takes a team to make kalista great. But these days everyone is all about KDR and fuk the adc. No peels=dead kalista (atleast with the KDR hungry meta Trist could defend herself)

immune to melee.....lawl. Just about every single melee champion has a way to gap close, stun or otherwise zone her out. Especially with her low MS low AS and dependance on items for damage.
