How does Courage of the Colossus calculate nearby enemies?

I am curious as to where the range for nearby enemy champions is drawn from. Is it drawn from the center of where the CC goes off(I am hoping for this) or where the champion that cast the CC is located. This distinction is important because some tank champions abilities are CC abilities that are used in ranged situations to setup another CC ability whereas others it does not matter which of these two options the range is taken from.

For example, If Malphite ults into the enemy team he will get the shield from where he ults which is the center point of where the CC is.

On the other hand, If Amumu uses Bandage Toss to initiate if the area that calculates nearby enemies is where he is when he casts the Bandage toss can be 1100 units away from the enemy he CC'd. On the other hand, if it calculates from where the CC actually took place it could be a huge difference in champion viability since this will affect quite a few champions.

I would have posted this on PBE which would probably have been more helpful but I am not part of PBE.

Yeah, good question, I also wonder if they will split the difference and average the 2 points then calculate the radius from that, or rather use both points and have a double chance for ranged cc to be quite effective. Now that would be very strong for all ranged cc champs so I doubt it. Fun to think about though. Also how will this effect be changed for melee champs as in will the range have an increase to make up for the lack of ranged abilities on their cc.
