Seriously Riot? OE values are so incredibly low that I spent 875rp to get enough OE to upgrade a 1350 skin shard, and I was lucky to get a 1820 shard.

So please people either get your chests through hard grinding S ranks on champs or wait for special events like the project event where you can spend tokens to get skin shard capsules. But if you can afford to put RP into your account then it's better to buy a skin and not spend it on chests to get enough OE to get a skin that you might like (I really like the skin I got but the champ isn't my type so I don't think Ill ever use that skin).

Technically, it would be best to buy out all the cheap skins, buy skins on sale that are cheaper than mystery gifts, then buy yourself mystery skins until you own everything it can give you. Then roll skin shards for any remaining skins as they release.

But if you're ever aiming for a specific skin, getting it on sale is always the best, followed by rolling it from a shard if you already have the shard and have spare Orange Essence, otherwise get it directly.
