So I got challenger ahri skin on the whatever box stuff and decided to buy ahri

Yesterday was my first time playing ahri in norms (I believe) and even though I got S- twice for some odd reason (all I do is ks and miss my skillshots) I feel really uncomfortable with her, especially in laning phase and going all in

  1. How should I use my W? I feel like its extremely useless unless I charm W them. I feel extremely uncomfortable walking up to the enemy in lane and having the W harass them

  2. How much credibility should I give my passive? Yeah, I can freeze a lane by stalling it and then getting hp regen back from my passive but should I really always take note of my passive or is it just the type of passive where it's handy, but I shouldn't worry much about it (like wukong's passive: it's handy but I'm not gonna try and position myself to get the max armor/mr in a team fight)

  3. What are ways I should land my charm when using ult? Obviously I ult forward and throw a charm but what else can I do with it other than doing fancy footwork with diagonal charming

  4. What are other ways to land my Q and E during laning phase other than the obvious "see enemy press q pray"

  5. What's the best way to cs with ahri? Should I always q the wave whenever it comes in (if I don't I will always get pushed in right?)

Answer as many of the questions as you guys can, thanks!

P.s. gimme any other tips you have

So, don't expect much from me, as I am terrible at Ahri, however, I read basic tips and strats of every champion. Here is what I have to tell you

  1. Use your W in conjunction with your ult and your E. It targets the 3 closest things, and can be crucial to her 1 person assassination combo. By getting up close and personal with your ult, using your E, then using your w, it will send (hopefully) all 3 of the ultimate damage wisps, the foxfire wisps, (firefox? Foxfire? idk) and you can add in the Q for extra damage.
  2. Your passive makes you one of the mages that has good sustain. Your foxfire will NOT take it over the 9 target limit unless you use it WHILE it is at 9 stacks, (ex, using it at 8 stacks will not proc the passive healing) so charging it up with your w is not a bad idea. Practice hitting all minions in one wave with your Q, for both damage and maximum sustain/waveclear.
  3. Practice moving in different/unexpected angles to throw your charm. This is best with smartcast. Also, your ult is great for repositioning yourself in teamfights and dodging skillshots, so don't only use it offensively!
  4. Your Q is a passthrough skillshot, so use it to CS and try to hit the enemy at the same time. Not only this, but you can combine your Q (When you have enough damage/ap) to quickly destroy a wave, then E through the wave to hit the enemy. This is a great move in teamfights/skirmishes, as it can give you a lot of free damage. Also, you can reposition yourself with ult if need be to get a good angle. Waiting for them to begin an auto attack animation can be nice, especially people like anivia, who have slow attack animations, then q'ing and e'ing is a great harassment combo.
  5. Getting some mana regen is great on ahri, as you will likely be using your Q and W to CS often times. Try not to just spam them though, or you will quickly run out of mana. FINALLY Try practicing the E-Flash combo for a surprise charm :) -Derpasaurus Trex
