Mundo Buff? Really?
Mundo was already one of the most difficult champions to kill why in the world would you buff him up further in survivability with no downsides?

Because he actually wasn't that hard to kill anymore, since everyone now has easy access to Grievious Wounds.
He didn't even counter AP champs well anymore (what he is supposed to do), since they changed these 2 items:

He was really weak and needed some buffs.
As a Level 7 Mundo main, I think his buff is legit, for the reasons below:
1- He is NOT hard to kill. If you play him you will know, as a late game tank, he would not survive more than 5 seconds in team fights when everybody has full build. This is being experimented, and I was building full tank. So why would people choose Mundo when there is Tryandmere who can build full damage and survive more than 5 seconds anyways?
2- He has no damage reduction. Sure, he heals fast, but once all crits and burst damages kicks in, the changes in healing amount won't matter much. I just had a game with a Yi building crit, I got melted down in like 3 seconds with full tank build late game, just 1v1...in general, once teamfight starts, damage reduction is always more useful than healing, that's why champs like Maokai and Malphite are better tanks, and they will NOT be taken down in 5 seconds late game guaranteed.
3-He has no hard CC. This pretty much means he cannot initiate any teamfights, and will be constantly kited. Being a frontline with no hard CC means you would have to wait the enemy team to initiate, and that means you would need to be CCed and taking damages BEFORE you can do anything. This hurts even more when you have no damage reduction. Besides, late game initiation can usually determine winning/losing a game.
4-He has no mobility. This should be simple, you don't have mobility, you should at least have some healing, expecially for being a tank.
5-Healing debuffs. There are more and more healing debuffs in items now, like grevious wound, ignite.. With the Spellbook rune update, people can always choose to have ignite late game just to counter Mundo, and this will pretty much trash you ultimate, and probably a critical reason why you would not last 5 seconds in late game..
So, with all the above mentioned problems, he can really go no where he pleases if there is no buff for him :)
Oh, doesn't Mundo need WAY more buffs before he's viable?
His ult at least heals for more than Fiddlesticks' W now.

I think Mundo needed a buff, I just think they buffed the wrong thing. His healing was already stupidly high when he stacked hp/tank items. I think what he needed was a better scaling armour/mr to compliment his ult. His damage and mobility was good, and his ult was fine.
Mundo is still going to be total garbage.
