Holy Crit
Feeling like the game is becoming centered around crit builds and there is no real defense against it, and thornmails barely a viable solution.

You spotted a therorical problem, now what do you offer as a solution? New items? Reworked masteries? Champion nerfs?
There are already enough items in my opinion that counter crit.
First of all,
reduces 10% crit damage. Also,
on a mage/ap tank can be devastating since the damage is magic, therfore stacking with magic pen (
for mages,
for tanks).
I would agree on nerfing the new masteries where you get healed when you crit, and on the new
which gives too much stats for one item (in my opinion).
You're on a track, you just need to explain your points, show arguments and counter-arguments...
Could
be useful against crit builds? Sure it doesn't reduce crit damage, but it could reduce their consistency due to its aura.
If you're playing support/tank, yes! Since you get 20% CDR AND armor, it's super good for almost any support/tank. It's especially good against
since the CD of his Q scales with attack speed. By lowering his attack speed, you also lower his CD. But shh! don't tell anyone this is my little secret weapon against him :)
Personally I'm always hesitant to build Armor vs Yas since his ult ignores 50% of bonus armor (I know it ignores some armor).
It really depends on what champion you play at that point, and what team you are facing. If for exemple you face
top
mid
jungle
adc
support ,
isn't really your item of choice.
But against for example
top,
mid,
jungle,
adc and
support,
is essential!
Maybe they could add another effect to it where the attack speed slow increases if the enemy crits you?
tell it to Yasuo XD Or Sated Yi XD
You forgot
-10% damage on all basic attacks.
Stack with
Aaaaand you've 20% damage reduction on crits. (Or at least close to that, never checked to see how they stack.)
19% reduction on crits. A non-IE crit will deal 1.62x damage instead of 2x, and with IE, it'll be 2.025x instead of 2.5x. It's significant, but you'd need more. If you throw a frozen heart on, you can reduce attack speed by 32%, which is also useful. The items together would result in a 32%-45% reduction in dps, depending on their crit chance. From there, it depends on your armor, as well as their armor pen. You'd have at least 180 bonus armor from this, as well as your base armor, and anything from runes and masteries, but against most ADCs, you could probably manage at least 200 effective armor, which would be a 67% reduction in damage, resulting in a 78%-82% decrease in damage.
While this is a massive decrease in damage, the thing you have to remember is that ADCs have insane damage output. Keep in mind that they won't be the only one you have to tank, and these items do not provide the health you need. A thornmail added on with that would really ruin an AD's day, but you only have 2 items left, and you need health and probably MR. At the same time, you no longer have the luxury of running 1 damage item to actually threaten the AD

2 => 3 damage every 2 seconds.
Enjoy
I also neglected to include Bond of Stone, that can grant you an additional 2-8% damage reduction.
Honestly, I'd run either Frozen Heart or Thornmail, not both. At that point you've over 100 effective health and should be grabbing some MR and health. I almost never run a damage item unless I'm playing bruiser or doing a cheese build.
I also spotted a practical problem.
You're suggesting homogenizing the itemization to counter all the cancer from this patch. This is a problem in itself. You don't counter non-existant diversity by building the same every game on every single tank no matter how they function. You fucking fix what's giving cancer to the game, or you don't release it in the first place.
In exchange for all of that extra Crit Chance, AD itemization lost a significant amount of raw AD and even more bonus AS, meaning that those crits are smaller and the opportunities for them are fewer.
-Masteries -Flexibility -Immense sustain -Grevious Wounds(they shut down an entire class of champions) -Reworks -Buffs -New toys to use
I say, they didn't get jack shit in exhange. Nothing is smaller in a 80%crit Vayne or cancer Yasuo. No opportunities are wasted when a Graves stomps my entire worthless team. Don't spread misinformation.
They get fewer AAs (because AS from items was nerfed) with lower raw AD values (because AD from items was nerfed). This should be easily confirmed by anyone with even minimal literacy skills.
tickles

is better as one of the items
may as well go in too
RESPECT THE RAMMUS BITCH!
How about
. This way when you taunt an AD champion, they stand in sunfire which procs morellos so they cant lifesteal and they're taking more damage from sunfire and thornmail since you have the abysal aura. You also have a decent amount of MR and HP so you don't get completely wrecked by mages. This is called item synergy. 90% of LoL players have NO IDEA What it is.

Rageblade builds have come into play as well.
I thought, and still think, crit should be removed and other ways to give people damage with autos should be found. I realize it would be a decently big project but the amount of raw damage that crits provide is just absurd...
Step One:
or
Step Two: Go botlane
Step Three:
Step Four: CTRL+4 x10
57+% winrate.
It depends on the champ. Against Graves it wouldn't be too useful - he doesn't it a lot often, but a little packing a LOT OF PUNCHES. Instead, against Jinx or Ashe i think it could work. (And against similar champ who go about aspd)
The defense against crit is armor.
10% crit reduction. Stacks.
stacks
Armor items got a slight cost increase not completely taken out of the game
Enough qq threads please. People with enough crit to burst you down are also squishy.
