Why nerf Anivia and double nerf Soraka?

I'm just curious. I'm not upset. It's your game to do as you wish with. I just want to know why. Soraka only has one real purpose and that is healing. She is squishy with very little cc. You made her more vulnerable and then nerfed her keystone mastery. Anivia is strong but she is extremely immobile and only really has one heavy damage spell, her e, and that is reliant on her q and her r. With all of the mobile burst champions with cc shields and more burst than Anivia, I don't understand this one at all. I know both champions have the potential to be powerful but neither is worthy of a nerf.

Edit: Based on the comments thus far, nobody knows how to fight against Soraka so everyone complained about her until she was double nerfed. Got it. Anivia was actually becoming viable and riot wasn't happy with that. I understand now. Thank you all for your responses. Feel free to find another thread to complain in now.

Soraka and Anivia aren't Riot's protected children like Thresh, Lee and Yasuo.

Soraka is fucking broken thats why lol. Makes her ad's win every trade, healing buffed from keystone, and has 0 counterplay since grevious wounds became useless.

Anivia is getting nerfed probably because of her synergy with deathfires (like brand and swain). its not really that big of a nerf imo. Soraka is getting nerfed because she was super buffed w/ the change to grevious wounds. there is now no way to block her heal unless you kill her first (and at least in lane, a good soraka will be behind her adc, and be able to heal them up, so unless you're playing as blitz you can't kill the adc easily)

anivia was nerfed because boggybuntu and soraka was nerfed because shes a toxic cancer champ that shouldnt exist

Anivia was nerfed because she could actually do well against the meta Riot is trying to reinforce. If you look at her damage, the last major change was a minor nerf to her E when NASUS was released. A while ago her ult was slightly buffed to deal 1 extra tick of damage when deactivated.
