Neither. 3 stacks doesn't make things bad.
It's a mechanic they like because you get punished for getting hit multiple times.

On the other hand, it is the first new champion since 
to be released without a skill shot.
That is 23 champions between the release of Rengar and the announcement of Kindred, all of which have at least 1 skill shot.
18 of those 23 have at least on dash (19 if you really want to count Tahm ult). 7 have an extra effect or have an ability work differently after building a specific number of stacks on an opponent with auto attacks and/or abilities (8 if we remove the fixed number and count Kalista's rend). 8 have %HP damage built into their kit. 14 of them have a displacement that Yasuo can ult off of, including Yasuo himself.
Not having a skill shot is a much bigger change of pace than many other things the community has whined about being done too frequently with new champs.
