Placement games should be placement games, I'm sorry if this sounds dumb but.... in my promo for silver I got a unranked ezreal. He was in his placement games, I was in my promo for silver. He announced he was in his placement games, we all know u cant dodge either cause it counts as a loss.... You could tell he was new due to how he was farming. He was burning all mana due to casting to clear creeps then recalling every time he burnt up his mana pool.

there has got to be a way to make this fair, if I need to dodge for a good reason I don't think it should count as a loss. I also don't think I should loose lp. I'm already getting a timer on my ques as it is. when I see flaming in champ select and I dodge why should I loose out?

You know, if you guys were not busy being jack asses you could just answer the kids question.

It's because unranked players are seeded at 1200 Elo which is at the bottom of silver. So you will often get unranked players in your bronze 1 to silver 4 promos.

Silver is between 1100-1500 elo

It's just one of the many things that makes it harder for players climbing the ranks the first time. The same thing will happen at the top of gold to get into plat, you will get players who are sitting at around 2000+ Elo that got dropped down to 1500 for not playing.

... because unranked elo = silver elo.

Let that sink in. Maybe it gives you some perspective.

Because unraked is considered average, and average is silver.

Because the starting point for mmr is around silver level.

No, you weren't in promos for Silver 1. You were in promos for Silver 4. 5 is the bottom of a Tier and 1 is the top. The average unranked player is placed into and stays in Silver; statistically he was probably better than you.

Edit: You weren't even in promos. You reach promos when you hit 100 LP, not 0...you're literally at the bottom of the bottom right now. Had to search your name from the client, API server broken and not updating information on third party sites.

Because matchmaking is based on MMR, not division position.

I mean, unranked doesn't necessarily mean they're godawful. My first promo game in season 3 was in Silver as well, and in the end it put me into Platinum.
