Why are auto target spells hitting harder than skill shots...

If I am playing ez and landing skill shots or any skill shot champ, I think it is fair to say the dmg is not what it should be for being a "skill shot" when nunu can come in with his auto target e.... and take half my life. Malph is another with an auto target spell that just op. I do not think auto targeting spells should be doing more dmg than a skill shot. what is the reward in landing a skill shot if the dmg isn't on par with an auto target????

Ez has very spammable spells (especially his Q) that can be used many times in succession if you hit them correctly. He gets enough benefits from hitting his spells.

If you're letting a (full AP if you're taking that much damage) Nunu or Malph to get near you that easily without using your E to get away, you need to think about your choices.

Ezreal has resources in some of his spells. Malph and Nunu have resources in different spells. For example, Nunu's Q is completely useless in a fight. Therefore, his E is better to make up for his lack of power. Just as you can find examples of skillshots being more powerful than targeted spells, you can find examples of some 3 hit abilities being stronger than others, or certain stuns are easier to hit than certain slows.

yes Nunu and Malphite's point and click abilities are stronger then Exreal's skill shots but theirs is on a longer cool down. the formula goes something like this

damage = (difficulty to landmanacostcooldown)/(rangemissile speedCC applied)

or somewhere along those lines.

Cause with skillshots you can fire beyond the normal rape range of target spells.

woops forgot something.

damage = (lack of damage on other abilitiesdifficulty to landmanacostcooldown)/(missile speedCC applied)

Nunu's E cost = 115 Nunu's base mana = 997 E uses = 8

Ezreal Q cost = 40 Ezreal base mana = 1077 Q uses = 26

Seems like Nunu's E doing more damage than Ezreal's Q is pretty balanced to me.
