I was gold 3 last season and i have 1575 mmr and I get put in silver 4. How does this work?

Soft reset tends to push most people down a tier or so.
Also you don't know what your MMR was, op.gg and similar are merely estimates.
Sites like op.gg don't show MMR, MMR is hidden, it shows combined LP instead.
this year's soft reset was much stronger than the usual reset, you'll be in gold most likely within a month if you do well and it shouldn't take much just don't throw your games like most silvers and bronzies do
