oh yea i didnt notice but oh well well i mean his original lore of his wife an kids were pretty irrelevant to other than that he had them

Yeah, except from what I recall, his entire story centered around vengeance. Vengeance fueled by the death of a family. Something which would drive most people completely over the deep end, story telling or real life.

The vengeance story can still be there if they put something about the darken they may have blundered a little bit but they CAN fix it

Great, but that still doesn't excuse how entirely irrelevant Kai and Val's relationship are in the new lore.

In the old lore, relationship was used as a fuel for vengeance.

In the new one, relationship was used for...why?
