So we have chroma packs right? These packs change a certain skin, changing the colors for a small price, for diversity.

My idea? Why not have champion chromas? Basically it would be a pack that changes one of a champions skills very very slightly, to help the champ deal with certain situations.

Take Garen. Maybe his ability changer chroma thing would change his q. One version has the silence be longer, but it does less dmg or gives a smaller speed boost. This would be used in situations to dominate champions who are reliant spells. Maybe another iteration has his speed boost last longer and give a bigger boost, at the cost of dmg. This would be used against teams that have alot of peel letting garen have a little easier time against them. Maybe the last version of the q has the spell doing alot more dmg, at the cost of no slow removal. this would be used if the enemy team had little cc or if the garen wanted to dominate his lane.

I don't know if its a good idea, and it probably would be really hard to balance and manage, but it sounds cool. Keeping your champions identity but just giving them small strengths based on the need for it. Its almost like runes where based on what you want for your champion, you get certain runes, but instead of runes it would be an ability change.

Thoughts? Could it be implemented?

No. This would make it pay to win if they do that.

This would make clarity difficult and balancing extremely hard. Also, it would add a layer of unneeded complexity to the game making it even harder to learn. In addition, I don't see it being at all easy to implement, and if it was paid, it would make things pay-to-win because there would almost certainly be a "best" version of each spell.

guarantee that taking a Mortkal Kombat X mechanic and throwing it into a MOBA wasnt that well thought out by you now was it?
