Hear me out. A triforcelike item for tanks.

So, in league we have an item that is supposed to do tons of damage. The Trinity Force. I think it does its job very well. It is also a great item for fighters, bruisers, adc's, and can be great on tanks. But haven't you ever thought, "instead of doing tons of damage, i want to Tank tons of damage." Well i have thought that everyday of my life, of my whole life. So what would this item build out of? What does a tank need?

Well, when I think of a tank I think he needs a few things. Magic resist, health, and armor are the big three. Health regeneration, cooldown, and mana can also be nice. And what tank doesn't want aoe damage when he is in the middle of a team? So I thought of three items to build into this tankforce.

  1. First a Glacial shroud, it gives armor, cooldown, and mana. The armor is nice for tanking physical damage, the cooldown is good for throwing out more cc abilities or abilities in general, and the mana good for spamming said cc abilities.

  2. Second a Bami's cinder, it would give the needed health and gives the tank a nice aoe damage for when he is in the middle of a fight.

  3. Third a Spectre's cowl, it gives magic resist, health, and a nice health regeneration passive. The magic resist for tanking ap damage, health for more tankiness, and the health regeneration passive is great for staying alive.

How much would this item cost? A tri force's components cost 3625, with a combine cost of 78 gold, totaling 3703 gold. All the items I have listed have a combine cost of 3150, so not knowing much about combine cost, and gold efficiency, ill give my item a combine cost of 100 gold, for a total of 3250.

So what stats would a finished tankforce give?

Tankforce

**+25 armor +40 magic resistance +550 health +300 mana **

unique passive - 10% cooldown unique passive - immolate - Deals 10 (1 X champion level) magic damage to surronding enemies unique passive - Grants 200% health regeneration for 10 seconds after taking damage

So their you have it, my tankforce. Is it broken, I dont know. What could you do to balance it? Maybe make it so you can only have either the triforce or the tankforce. So you will have to choose between tons of dmg or tanking tons of dmg. Would this be good on only tanks? Just like the triforce is good on many champions, the tankforce would also be very good on many champions. Maybe the last defensive item for an adc? or a fighter? instead of building a triforce you could build a brutalizer and hydra then build a tankforce for bruisers. I think their would be many places for this item. Give me your thoughts and dont be afraid to criticize!

Health + MR + Armor = No

An item CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT have all three of these stats.

Tanks are fine. item 3751 item 1011 item 3801 basically fixed tank itemization.

As A main tank player, I think this is a bit biased, but here is all of my yes, use it with care.

If you want all those stats at once you'll need to lower it a lot, and then it probably wouldn't be worth it anymore.

However, now that you're making me think about it, Riot could finally implement an item with changeable stats. Exemple, the item gives some stats and XX armor, and when you toggle it, it changes to magic resist. Could be interesting.

An interesting idea, but needs reworking. Just sounds like you're combining your favorite tank items.

The issue with your suggestion is that it's too slot-efficient. It would be widespread amongst bruisers and carries as well as tanks, something that shouldn't happen with any item (except maybe certain situational items such as Banshee's and GA).
