@CertainlyT what do you think Morde will play like after the planned changes
I think you guys are looking to shift him away from "I have an absurd mid-game nuke against anyone that isn't full tank" to "I'm just gonna sit in the middle of your team and draintank/never die". Which, as a juggernaut, is what his intended design probably was in the first place, given all the changes to his shield and his E, and that's how you play him when you don't have the opportunity to get in range of a squishy target to use your 3rd Q.
The problem is, right now, he's reliant on the cheesy damage of his Q to be useful. I don't think the E buffs will be enough to make him relevant without his nuke, but we'll see.
I think hitting his AP ratio alone could be a good change to discourage him from building that stat and going for a more bruiser-ish build. I've seen a loit of people build nothing but mage items on him like they used to and I don't think that should be optimal at all given his new playstyle.
Another thing to keep in mind is with most Marksmen getting increased base AD at early levels, it gives them much more power to bully him at those early levels when he's most vulnerable. The W change further reduces his power early in the game. Isn't that too much? His E is being made to scale better into lategame, but I don't think Mordekaiser's a champion you pick to scale into lategame, not in his current state, and given how snowbally the game has been with the preseason changes, early power matters more than ever. Early power that Mordekaiser had when initially reworked and has been toned down on multiple patches, but not as significantly as this.
