Why do "you get to hit someone twice for one hit" passives exist?
,
I don't get it.

I don't get it.
It looks cooler than "double the damage of one attack" and, if allowed, procs on-hit effects twice. I don't see a gameplay issue with them existing. What don't you like about it?
It's impossible to trade with both of them.
You just have to learn how to trade with them.
For example: Lucian. I just ha a game against him, and I was playing Janna. Every time he did... well, anything, I just shielded my carry and his passive did nothing while my ADC got to burst him for damage. Picks and counterpicks. He's a GREAT duelist, but you can counterpick him.
Counterplay is a thing.
That's the issue? You lose the trades? Everybody has their advantages and disadvantages; having a double auto-attack doesn't automatically grant the advantage anyway.
So rammus/annie can do shitloads of dmg
buy thornmail= you won a trade with both of them while afk
buy thornmail= you won a trade with both of them while afk
But depending on who you're using you're delaying your build path and then causing yourself to do even less damage, making you dead weight to your team and less of a threat to the enemy team.
Tutorial OP
I thinks its actually a cool mechanic compared to a simple attack speed modifier.
to make them more useful vs adc
