the blue essence system is just unsatisfying.

Having the main currency for unlocking champions being RNG based when there are over 100 champs in the game just doesn't feel good. I'm having to pray to the RNG gods that i get the highest amount possible of blue essence whenever i am awarded a champion shard or hextech box. Whereas in the older system you basically had a generally idea of how many matches it would take to get a particular champion because the payout was predictable. Now? me trying to unlock a 6300 champion with 0 blue essence can either go really fast if your luck is good or take forever if your luck is bad.

You working under the assumption that the system is totally RNG, and your BE gain can wildly vary as it is based upon random numbers and luck. This is incorrect. The system is predictable, there is RNG variance in how much you may get in a specific capsule, but there are minimums and averages designed into the system to ensure players get about the same at minimum compared to the old system and with things like BE discounts and event missions it's safe to say that you are better off.

This means that the idea that the BE System can make it take the hyperbolic forever to get a champion in comparison is incorrect.

I think it encourages good economics.
