PSA: Supports aren't the only ones who(need to) ward

So, just now I played a game as lee sin in the jungle. Firstly, my first item wasnt warrior and so the caitlyn began to flame. saying that I was terrible at jungling and such, because apparently my role isnt to be able to succeed in ganking(which warrior makes it harder to do than hydra), but TO DO BETTER AT FARMING THE JUNGLE. This caitlyn is so- so mentally insane that apparently she thinks getting 100 gold for myself is my role as opposed to getting 400 gold for a teammate and a good 150 gold for myself.

Then, having forgotten to cast my crescent in a fight with the opposing lee sin, I started to fall behind. I was repeatedly ulted by jarvan over walls, only to have lee or braum or sivir dive onto me. The problem I had was my trinket being on cooldown so frequently. I said in chat "I don't have a sightstone yet, why am I so dumb" and the entire team said "Because you think buying a sightstone on jungle is a good idea"

Oh boy, what a puzzle. A champion who relies on wardhopping to do the most important combos in their kit, as well as to escape and to engage in some situations, BUYING WARDS! Either way I could effectively double the wards on the map and potentially escape the jarvan dives using it. And of course, caitlyn says to me: "YOU HAVE A SUPPORT WITH SIGHTSTONE ALREADY"

Do I control where the supports put their wards? No. Do I need control over where the wards are? Yes. Would buying sightstone allow me to clear out enemy wards(by switching to red trinket). Yes. Is doubling the number of allied wards on the map always a good idea? Yes. So what makes it a wrong choice to buy a sightstone on lee? Nothing.

Of course the cait pulls the "look at your k/d" card which means nothing because she had already given kills to their team in good amounts before I started dying. Sure it was my fault but had that lee not had 3 kills I wouldve been able to end him without needing to remember my tiamat active. Sure that fight probably lost us the game, but it's all good considering their J4 was the one who got the pentakill not lee.

I dunno, I played poorly that game, cait was an asshat(who used flash to get out of fountain at 10 seconds in mind you) and didnt really do well, and yet she thought that buying wards to stay relevant as well as going tanky were both bad ideas(especially when behind).

I would suggest getting tracker's knife as it is a good substitute for sight stone. You lose 2 wards in favor of having more offensive/defensive power.

I love seeing more than one pink ward on the map <3

Don't they have a jungle item that literally is part Sightstone?

Cait was right: You should have finished Warrior...on that jungle item. item 1408

I once jungled as Evelynn and the support Lulu told me i needed to ward more and that i wasn't doing a good enough job of it, the entire team backed her up in her flaming. Post game screen Evelynn wards placed 26: Lulu wards placed: 0 trinket owned yellow.

You'll always get people who can't accept their own failings and then seek to criticise their teammates so they can feel like "it's not my fault we lost". Caitlyn had no business commenting on your build, period. Anyway, a sightstone is a perfectly normal thing to build on Lee Sin. Perhaps if you'd gone Runeglaive, she might've had a point, but even in such an extreme case, it's rarely a good idea to annoy others with your opinion.

I always put down the most wards in the game as the jungler <.<

I find it very, very interesting how those players who flame people seem to often have a negative K/D ratio, while flaming other players about having negative K/D ratios.

For starters, cait was right, finish that warrior enchant, there is no scenario on lee sin where i wouldnt get warrior ASAP also you have no need for SS, trinket and something called trackers knife gives you enough wards

I respect norms draft, but I wouldn't cite blind pick as an example for anything. Drafting is as much a part of the game as lan8ng and team fighting.

Yea junglers are blessed with item 3711 already. It is a very strong item and so are the other jungle items. It really would have been the solution for this predicament that you desribed. Other than cait being an ass. Some people just aren't worth your time to worry about!

The only advice I have for you in this situation is this. Just buy your sightstone because NOTHING bad can come of having more vision on the map and just MUTE the Caitlyn and just YOU DO YOU.

Profit.
