Alistar and ARAM. More specifically, healers in general? Last patch RUINED healers in arams.

Can something be done with Alistar and champions that were severely and utterly destroyed healing-wise in Aram? I find it absolutely ridiculous that alistar's heal was not only halved once, but now TWICE in terms of power early game because of the recent 50% reduction to allies boost.

Selfish healing is great, but healing allies for 15 health is absolutely sickening to watch, especially on a champion thats supposed to "support" the entire team through sustained fights, where only his full value heal is good if he maxes it first, which never happens.

The same can be said for Soraka? THE CHAMPION BASED AROUND HEALING EVERYTHING? Her ultimates "boost" in strength is absolutely negated by arams new 50% reduction.

This is a rant, and plea, LOOK AT HOW YOU BALANCE THINGS BECAUSE OF ONE CERTAIN CHAMP (Looking at you Sona) and think, HER HEAL WASN'T AS STRONG AS WELL, ONLY AFTER BUILDING AP AND MAXING IT SECOND!!!

Riot Balance team Please?

Edit: The downvoting itself is silly, stop it people lol

Their intent was to ruin healers. There is a reason you can't go back to base and heal up.

I love the change. Riot literally gave the opposing team a large window of opportunity to destroy the weakened before they were strong. Healers ruled the ARAM map, along with poke champs. When they are full build they are close to invincible unless focused first, that is why soraka, sona and nidalee are valued highly in ARAM. Nothing pleasures me more to see a dead soraka in ARAM.

FUCKING FOCUS HER FIRST IDIOTS!!!!

Wow downvoted because I wanted compensation on champions that were utterly GUTTED? You people.

Because Rito hates heals and thinks they're antifun. They wanted to ruin them.

You obviously do not play ARAM a lot. Healers were a plague on aram. Instant loss if the enemy team had any 2 healers. On ARAM, or rather Howling Abyss, All champs have increased mana regen. All it took was 1 mana item(especially pre mana regen nerf) to sustain heal your team with raka/sona/alistar and Post 6 JANNA.

And with the obvious abundance of people using ARAM smurf account (accounts that only have champions deemed good on aram in their pool) items like morrellonomicon was build EVERY GAME, but EVERY AP CHAMPION on the team against 2+ healers. Then riot removed Executioner's Calling. (The ADC's version of Morrlownomicon) leaving Grievous wounds something only a select number non-ap champs could have. Even then, with certain champs, the grievous wounds wasnt enough.

Also, with soraka's nerfs/buffs post rework, the ones that nerfed her HP regen, but buffed her self healing off landing Q on champs, Landing her Q is imporant, and on ARAM, very easy to do when on a sustained healing/poke team.

One thing that wasnt changed, and is becoming troublesome to me, are Shields. Teams with multiple shield giving supports (karma/janna/orianna/morgana/sona) can keep their teammates alive longer then healer teams. But that's a rarer thing.

TLDR: Healing others Bad, self-healing good. If you want ur Wambulance raka, play her on Summoner's Rift.

Honestly. Healers are still strong. But Riot went about all of this the wrong way.

If they wanted to do something about healing they should of given us an ARAM item to counter it with Grievous Wounds.

I really think ARAM needs it's own trinket system to help ARAM comps. -Grievous Wounds -Shield Piercing(way worse the heal comps IMO) -Sweeper -Guardian Horn(delete the item, remove the stats, just the active) -Orb of Winter(Same as Horn, just the shield) -Cannon(Fires a cannon that only targets turrets to help comps with little tower pushing)

Obviously some of these would need some counterplay. Such as an area can only be sweeper once every 30 seconds or so. And the GW/shield prices would probably be an active that applies on damage for a short duration.

Welp it ate the rest of my post, but it regards to

An agreement with shields are worse, and going along the lines of what Cindikle's post, in terms of AD itemization versus healing, and what happens when theres a full ad poke 'team' vs an ap poke 'team'

.-.

Alistar doesn't start upgrading his heal unless his team is in dire need of it (and its sustain to counter a POKE heavy comp?), or else he's going to have it sit until level 13.

Pulling straight from the Wiki here.

SELF HEAL: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+20% AP) ALLY HEAL: 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 (+10% AP)

Now halve the Ally heal again (due to 50% reduction from Howling Abyss Aura) so it becomes

15/22.5/30/37.5/45 (+5% AP)

See what I'm saying though? His heal isn't hit once but TWICE (100% reduction in effectiveness!)
