Seriously I don't understand why they're fucking with Fizz so much, he was perfectly fine and had no reason to be changed.
Fizz's skin is so slippery that the nerf hammer can't hit him at all, that's why any changes done to him dosen't make any sense
I personally hate that any time Fizz see's attention its changes to his damage not something like oh i dont know

MAKING IT SO HE DOESN'T HAVE TO LEAD WITH MAX RANGE FISH LITERALLY EVERY TIME?
ADDING SOME ACTUAL SKILL EXPRESSION TO HIS KIT LIKE OTHER ASSASSINS HAVE INSTEAD OF KEEPING HIM A SEQUENCE CASTER
Ever since his Assassin update I've felt like Fizz has only ever been able to underkill or completely overkill with no real space inbetween. I wouldv'e liked to see a way to refresh Q/E for mobility jukes or a way to reward Fizz for staying in combat but avoiding damage. Something nuanced and satisfying like that rather than just HERES MORE DAMAGE.
Fizz isnt healthy for the game and needs serious attention. He's almost as bad as talon.
He stopped being an ult bot when they took the 2 second mark off. Those buffs are just a straight power increase and actually take him farther away from ult bot status by raising up the melee ult's power so that he can get into shorter range fights. If those go Live as is he will probably be broken OP. He's already not bad right now. A large part of the win rate difference is that they re-added a lot of his old skill requirement into his kit and people aren't used to it.
Also if you are playing him as an ult bot right now then you are playing him horribly wrong.

While I understand where you're coming from, the answer is no the changes do NOT make him an ult bot. Take a look at Malzahar for reference of an ult bot:
Passive: Nerfed Q: nerfed W: Reworked and then nerfed E: nerfed R: Reworked and then nerfed
All of these changes happened in the last year. His damage has gone, his oppressive playstyle is gone. He has a 2 second suppress and the ability to push waves if no one is around to stop him. That's it.
When Fizz is in that position, where his only use is with his ult, and even then he needs other players around to do the damage. When Fizz has no mobility, no escape and counters no one. When these things happen, he will be a walking ult. Not before
Because Fizz mains. Literally.
LeBlanc got reverted to her old self because LeBlanc mains complained on both reddit and here on the forums with many threads upvoted on front page about the time it takes to kill a target, which is bullshit because she still bursted you down and now reverted her back to cancer.
Rengar got reverted because, again, the mains complained both reddit and here in this garbage forum about the q skillshot and how it reduces the time it took to kill someone, which again, is bullshit because Rengar still bursted you down. Now he is reverted back to mindless q right click ferocity cancer.
And now as Riot stated, Fizz mains didn't like the way Fizz feels with the rework so once again they are reverting him to the one shot monster (he already is and was anyway)
Tbh the boards is partially the reason why stupid things like this goes through. You have mains complaining and getting their thread upvoted, Riot sees it, makes changes, then the other half complains, gets upvoted, proceeds to make the front page look like a hot mess.

They wanted Malz to not be an ult bot. Now he does no damage, he literally exists to press R.
Btw I love the idea that you want counterplay, and reworked a million old champions because MUH COUNTERPLAY. But then assassins like Fizz who literally do nothing but point and click you cont to exist.

The fact another Assassin is getting buffed is alarming.
Assassin's are the cancer of mid lane and the cancer of the game.
I agree that buffing his ult is by far the worst way to adress him beeing weak.
However, i totally disagree with you're other statement: "he was perfectly fine and had no reason to be changed." Fizz wasn't fine, he felt bad to play and lacked some of the things that prior mains liked about him, while he at the same time didn't really feel any better to play against. The changes they did to his W actually were great and went into the right direction, it's just that the numbers ended a bit on the low side/didn't get other compensation.
Back to their buff, i really don't like adding back more power to the ult, that was one of the main issues befor the W changes and we don't need to repeat that. I'm not even sure that he really needs more raw damage. Imo a bit more survivabillity and some buffs on his mana would go a long way. As a melee assasins, he needs to get right into damage range, and sicne the changes he needs to spend some time there to really get the damage done, so more survivabillity would make sense. Imo the best way to add it would be either adding an AP-ratio to his passive(prevents ad/tank builts from abuseing the buff) or adding a small CD-reduction on E for each champ he land it on for more untargetabillity in teamfights without adding much in small fights. As for mana, assasins usually sacrifice to much kill-potential if they go for a lost chapter item, and other than that can't itemize to well for it, and Fizz has some what high costs, as he always needs QWE if he wants to trade effectively and E is rather expensive(90-110) while beeing his main his waveclear. Also, up to 70 mana for his on-hit is rather expensive(it used to cost 40 befor the assasins rework) If you compare it to diana, she can poke with Q alon which is a cheap 55mana and also servs as waveclear, she can clear fast with only her passive that even restores mana. So easing up on his mana costs or giving him some tools to restore mana would help alot.
And if they really feel like he needs more damage, i think they should start with the W-dot...
