I just want to know who at Rito thought removing a defensive rune and replacing it with a damage rune was “toning down damage”
i'm not saying that this one is good,but bone plating was toxic and i'm happy they removed it,it wasn't taken for more defense but for auto-winning trades unless everyone was going to take it i don't see how keeping this rune would have reduced the damage in this game (also nobody mentioned the overgrowth buff which is going to give more HP)
anyway they did it by giving armor/MR/HP in your base stats,in this case everyone is going to take at least 1 defensive stat shard so the damage around the board is reduced
edit : they also removed the damage from celerity and replaced some damage with shield power in this rune,riot balancing team sucks but when the planets line up and they do something good let's admit it
Let's shield bash them for the implementation of the rune
Well, they did just add a change today that makes it so that it increases the value of the shield. Doesn't change the fact that it still has damage, but it also has a defensive part, if that matters to you. I'm not trying to say anything one way or the other; just conveying what happened.
