@Riot Let's have a discussion on split-push meta

I just lost another game, because the enemy team was simply able to out split push my team. We won the laning phase heavily, and we were ahead for nearly the entirety of the game (including the conclusion). The ending score of this game was 43 to 28 (we were the 43). Every time we grouped they simply split up, and pushed. It didn't matter how fed we all were, or how well we played all because they split pushed. It was infuriating; we played much MUCH better than they did yet they were allowed to win because they sat in a lane, and took towers no matter how badly they fed. I'm not saying find a way to remove split pushing, but something needs to be done to make sure that games were you are actually winning very hard can't be lost simply because they have a split-pusher or two on their team. I think split pushing is very fun on a minor scale, but losing an entire game because of it is rather bland, and very VERY aggravating. Losing a game like this makes you feel like skill isn't even a win condition for League. So please Riot; I know you're a bunch of very creative people, so let's fix this together.

Edit: Ok I am very well aware of the whole rock-paper-scissors aspect of team comps, but this was a blind pick match. I couldn't say "Hey they have a Tryndomere let's stack cc like a mofo, and stomp this kid," the game went like this (Win Lane > Win Teamfights > Lose Game do to 1-3-1 split pushing 100% of the time). I am simply saying that this is something that needs more counter play, because it isn't fun to play against, and it is the worst way to lose.

Most enraging losses I ever had ware due to split pushing.

That's a problem with your team. If 1 person is splitpushing, force a fight while it is 5v4: you should win, and have enough champions alive to out push the enemy. If 2 people are splitpushing, engage right then because it is a 5v3 and you have an easy win if you just dive. Judging by the score they were slightly behind but played much smarter than your team did and focused on getting objectives instead of kills.

you should have thought of that in champ select, split push comp beats team fight comp

Its one of those rock paper sissors groups...

You probably had a wombo group, so the only way they could win was to split up and force you guys to split up.

Wombos < Splitpushers < Poke and seige < Wombos.

im assuming this is the thresh game? you should have had ahri claering 1 side's waves and trist and diana on the other one having pantheon and thresh take mid or since the trist seems kind of strong have pantheon and diana hold the side that trist was on and thresh and tristana take down towers down mid

objectives win games, whats the best way to take an objective? more objectives taken = your team generally does better.

"split pushing" is quite common and necessary because otherwise its just aram and the better team comp will win (unless you know, someone ults in the wrong direction).

lets put it this way, if you force the 1-3-1, you face still dieing to their 3 man comp, or you go and split yourselves up, (or 5 of you dive their 3) forcing you guys into 1v1'ing or 3v3'ing, at which point it will be skill based, or on gold worth / favorable matchups, so even if they lose 2/3, they still get some objective from it and benefit from the effect that creates. or 3 people die mid, and they get 2 turrets or so, maybe inhibitors, which is usually worth it for the next push.
